The Armed Forces Medical Services, also called AFMS, has shared a new notice for people who want to apply for the job of Medical Officer. In total, there are 225 openings available. The process to apply for these jobs will begin on the September 13, 2025, and the last date to send your form is October 3, 2025. This means you have around three weeks to complete everything. The official announcement was made earlier on September 6, 2025. If you already have a postgraduate medical degree that is approved by the NMC or a State Medical Council, you can apply too. These PG candidates do not need to take the NEET PG exam again, because their previous scores from that test will be used to check if they can move forward in the selection process.
Age information
The age limit depends on what kind of medical degree you have. For people who only have an MBBS degree, they must be less than 30 years. This means they must be born on or after January 2, 1996. For those who have completed a postgraduate degree, the age limit is slightly higher. They must be under 35 years old as of the same date, which means they should have been born on or after January 2, 1991. It is important to make sure that your age fits within these limits or else your application may not be accepted.

If this is your first time applying, you will need to register by entering your email address and mobile number. After registering, you can log in and click on the option that says “Apply Online.” A new page will open where you will need to fill out the form with your personal details, educational information, and contact information. You will also be asked to upload important documents like your photo, signature, and education certificates. Once you have filled everything in and uploaded the documents, you will need to pay the application fee.
